Milwaukee’s
2.25hp fixed-base 5616 is the right answer for many situations that call for a
midsize router – it’s equally at home installed in the INCRA Mast-R-Lift-II mounted
to an INCRA MagnaLOCK Router Mounting Plate, or used for freehand work.
Like
it’s larger brother, the 5625, the Milwaukee 5616 is a premium router with a
smooth, powerful motor, accurate collets, excellent variable speed, and great
fit and finish.
Note: Milwaukee Routers are NOT compatible with the METRIC Mast-R-Lift II Router Lift, but they're awesome in the inch-based version.
Some
of the Milwaukee 5616’s many features:
Soft-start 120 Volt, 13 Amp motor has best-in-class power
Electronic-feedback variable speed from 10,000rpm - 22,000rpm with a 36-position dial covers all router bit diameters and routing situations
When used with a conventional router mounting plate, the above-table height adjuster has a rubber dust shield and can be operated with either the included T-handle adjuster or with a conventional 3/8” socket
It’s an exceptional router for freehand use…a low center of gravity, the base’s large sculpted rubber grip, and adjustable hand strap give you the control of a trim router with the robust power of a midsize
Bearings and switch are sealed against dust for long life, and the 8ft cord has a heavy-duty strain relief
The base’s mounting bolt holes match router plates already drilled for the symmetric 3-hole pattern used on midsize Porter-Cable routers, the DeWalt DW618, or the Bosch 1617, simplifying upgrades from other brands
5-year limited warranty
Includes a self-releasing 1/2" & 1/4" precision collet, nice forged collet wrenches, and an above-table height adjuster.
