Woodpeckers undertook a let's start over approach to making their own knobs, and the results are like nothing else available to woodworkers.
These heavy-duty, easy to grip, 2.2"-diameter plastic knobs can be assembled either as female thru knobs by adding your own hex nuts or as male knobs by using standard hex bolts, and theyre quickly reconfigured later for other tasks.
As a female knob, the open top allows threading onto any length stud. As a male knob, theres no need to scour the internet looking for a specific thread length - just pop in whatever length hex bolt matches your application.
Heavy duty? Yes. Most low-cost plastic knobs are molded with the threaded insert right at the bottom of the knob where its easily pulled free by over tightening. Instead, the Multi-Knob captures the nut or bolt head in a hex shaped recess above a 1/4 thick reinforced layer.
